Manic Panic Vampire Red.
My world was turned upside down when my cosmetology instructor informed me that my favorite Jazzing semi-permanent hair color is actually full of metallic salts. I love Jazzing and I had no idea it was bad. I was going to use it again tonight.. So now I have awkwardly lightened pinkish red hair and I have no idea what to do! My first thought was to modify my new Vampire Red with Jazzing Red Hot to make it a natural-ish red for a school function I have coming up (where I have to look "professional" and make a speech), but now it's too dark, too pink, and Jazzing Red Hot is metallic and not good for my hair! I have until Thursday at 8am to make this work. I'm fucked.
Tuesday (tomorrow) night I will most likely spend using dish soap and alcohol to remove the metallic salts (as recommended by my cosmetology instructor) and most of the color you see here, plus old Jazzing Cocoa Bean i had used before this. Hopefully that will dull it to a lighter, faded pink. Then I guess I'll have to use Jazzing Red Hot again because it's all I know of semi-permanent colors to get the shade I like. When I have a larger time frame, I will search for healthier semi-permanent options.
By the way, I used semi-permanents because I don't like using developer on my already outrageously damaged hair, so I don't want to use permanent colors. Especially with how often I change my color anyway.
